The Publishing House of the Ita Wegman Institute

The publishing house of the Ita Wegman Institute was founded at Easter 2008 with the goal of creating an independent, publishing organ. This allows us to publish works from the Institute in a timely, cost-effective, and independent manner, and present it in a form that is especially suited to the content of our work. Our cooperative working relationship with SchneiderEditionen (Stuttgart) which began in 2008, has made it possible for us to realize this goal to a large extent.

In addition, the founding of the publishing house has enabled us to help authors publish manuscripts with content related to the intentions and objectives of the publishing house of the Ita Wegman Institute for Basic Anthroposophical Research.

The cooperative arrangements between the Ita Wegman Institute and the Verlag am Goetheanum, the Verlag Freies Geistesleben , and the Rudolf Steiner Verlag, which existed before 2008, continued after the independent founding of the publishing house. Publications from the Ita Wegman Institute also appeared and continue to appear in the catalogs of these publishers, albeit in smaller numbers.

The books we publish can be purchased from bookstores, any publishing house bookstore, or directly from

The income of the publishing house covers the production costs of the books and helps support the on-going work of the Institute.
